In a collaborative effort with the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) ensured the seamless conduct of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) across accredited Computer Based Test (CBT) centers in Oyo State.
Oyo State commandant of NSCDC, who led the inspection, commended NSCDC officers for their professionalism and dedication to maintaining security and integrity during the examination.
Commandant Padonu stated, "A total of 150 NSCDC personnel have been deployed to the 43 accredited CBT centers across the State to provide security, prevent intrusion of unwanted persons and uphold the integrity of the examination."
He emphasized the importance of upholding examination integrity and assured JAMB and candidates of a hitch-free process.
During his visit to various centers including the Polytechnic, Ibadan, and JAMB Professional Test Centre at Ikolaba, Commandant Padonu witnessed firsthand the high level of orderliness and professionalism exhibited by NSCDC personnel. Professor L.A. Ahmed, supervisor of the Polytechnic, Ibadan center, lauded NSCDC for their cooperation and promptness.
Commandant Padonu urged candidates to adhere strictly to examination guidelines while reminding parents to refrain from visiting examination centers to prevent irregularities. Each center hosted an average of three examination sessions, with ample NSCDC officers ensuring a smooth operation.
The NSCDC's commitment to security and citizen welfare was evident through Commandant Padonu's thorough inspection, reinforcing the agency's dedication to promoting a secure and transparent examination environment for all stakeholders involved.
