Guinea's Syli Nationale head coach, Paul Put has stated that his side must play a perfect game if they are to come out with a win against Nigeria in Wednesday’s Group B encounter of the ongoing 2019 Africa Cupof Nations at the Alexandria Stadium.
Guinea held Barea of Madagascar to a 2-2 draw in their first game on Saturday in Alexandria.
Guinea had to rely on Francois Kamano’s 66th minute penalty to earn a share of the spoils against the debutants.
Defeat against the Super Eagles could dampen their hopes of making it beyond the group stage, and Put is eager to see his side come out unscathed in the game.
“To tackle the match against Nigeria, now, we must analyze the first game, correct the mistakes we made against Madagascar. We must utilise our opportunities against Nigeria, but they will not give much either. If we give gifts to Nigeria, it will be complicated,” Put was quoted by Guineenews.org.
The Super Eagles opened their campaign with a 1-0 win against the Swallows of Burundi on Saturday.
The match will kick-off at 3.30 pm Nigerian time.
