Governor Makinde announced through his Twitter handle on Monday that he is tested positive to coronavirus and that he is asymptomatic and in self-isolate.
The group in a statement signed by its Founder and President, Mrs Foluso Oyenuga, FCA, expressed that their thoughts are with the hard working,and dedicated governor of the pacesetter state, the few medical heads of the University College Hospital (UCH) and all others that were tested positive to the deadly COVID-19 pandemic, wishing them a speedy recovery.
"Our Foundation stand resolute with the Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde and the entire people of Oyo State in particular and Nigeria in general at this difficult time of the coronavirus. We are happy with the vital work Governor Makinde is doing to curtail the spread of the deadly virus and we pray God in His infinite mercies to take away this scourge from our land and heal the sick especially Governor Makinde because he is a man that is passionate about peoples welfare and growth" , the statement read.
The group further advised the people to cooperate with the government in preventing the diseases and stand together to focus on action to curtail the spread of the deadly virus.
"Let us continue to stand together, to speak with one voice, and to focus on action and not fear, time for prudence not panic, science not stigma, facts not fear , to curb the spread of the coronavirus in our mist. We will get through together."
