Mojoyinola Boss Canvases Support For Table-Tennis

Bothered by the dearth of quality tournament for table-tennis players in Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole, a philanthropy and table tennis enthusiast, Johnson Akinyemi JP has canvassed for support for the game among the socialites in the big city, while pledging to do everything within his capacity to also lift the game at the grassroots.
The CEO of Mojoyinola Confectionery who claimed to have also played the game in the 90s to professional level made the call while speaking with newsmen at the Role Model Table tennis Challenge organized by a sports presenter, Babatunde Saheed who works with an Ibadan based radio station, Fresh FM at the indoor squash hall of Obafemi Awolwo Stadium, Ibadan.
Akinyemi who was thrilled by the high standard of the quality displayed by the ping-pongers yearned for more and frequent competitions for the table tennis players to afford them display their talents and becoming better in the game.
He however called on well meaning individual in the state to come to the aid of the table tennis players by supporting their training with equipment and sponsoring camping and training tour for them ahead of major tournaments while also pledging to do everything within his own capacity to support the game.
“Table tennis was more popular than football before when we are growing up, but now reverse is the case, you hardly see table tennis within our communities again as it used to be seen at the nooks and crannies of our communities before.
“I sponsored two players to represent my firm in this competition and they both did very well, as you can see that one of them qualified for the semifinal, all players that participated in this tournament gave their best and we are all impressed by their skills, I think they need better encouragements.
“I'm ready to support table-tennis to the best of my ability, I was also a table player before, nevertheless, I could not play it to the level I wished, but henceforth I will be supporting sporting activities in this state with promotional products from my firm and I will be speaking with my friends that are big businessmen to contribute their own quota to the development of this game”, Mojoyinola boss noted.
