It was a big night to praise the Lord at the recently held mega musical concert tagged: Power of Praises hosted by the Lady Evangelist Oluwakamiye Akinpelu, popularly known as Mama Praise at the expansive church auditorium of The Angel of Christ Gospel Church, Isale Oremeji, Agugu Ibadan.
Arrays of gospel artists that converged to sing big praises unto the Lord during the mega concert includes Bisi Alawiye, Adegbodu Twins, Kenny Ologo Ara, Femo Lancaster, Olu Mighty, Arole Jesu Twins, Kemi Rehoboth and host of others.
While explaining the rationale behind the mega concert Mama Praise confided to the newsmen during the event said she is only following the direction and leading of the holy spirit who had ministered unto her to gather good and notable gospel singers and give praises unto his name.
Mama Praise who claimed to have been singing from the age of 5 years in the Angel of Christ Church where she rose to become the head of the choir added that the concert was like a prelude to her eight track maiden album that will soon hit the airwave at the time that would be determined by God.
After performing along-side many gospel singers during the concert, she however expressed profound appreciation to her husband, Prophet Samuel Samiye Olabode, the General Overseer of The Angel of Christ Gospel Church, who also double as her senior brother and all the artists that came to honour God in her life.
The presiding pastor of The Angel of Christ Gospel Church, Prophet Samuel Samiye Olabode in his remark said it was the Lord that directed the ministry to stage the concert where people can gather in multitude to praise him and he will meet the needs of those who can do that with all sincerity of purpose.
He however urged the Christians to imbibed the habit of praises and not keeps praying every time believing only through prayers God can answer and meet their needs but averred that praises often carries more compelling powers than prayers.
