The chief executive officer of Kayrom Lee Group of Companies, Ambassador Romoke Ayinde, has been awarded an outstanding personality award by the Nigeria Tailor Union of Egbeda Itesiwaju Local Government of Oyo State for her contribution to the development of humanity.
She was awarded alongside two others during the association's first-year anniversary ceremony on Wednesday in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
According to the chairman of the Bishop Philip Academy Chapter of NUT that bestowed the award on her, they decided to honor some prominent members of society because of their personalities and invaluable contributions to the growth of the society.
While speaking shortly after receiving the award, Amb Ayinde, who is also the Iyalaje Adini of Oyo State, promised not to relent in her service to humanity, which was what the organizers of the award saw in her.
"I am very happy with the way your association organized the anniversary of the cultural diaplay and the 'Tailor Police'. This shows that you have added new innovation to the way you used to do things because we cannot be doing things in the same way and expecting new results.
"We must let this show in our ways of doing our work, and I prayed that we will continue to reap more benefit from our work.
"I see this award as a push for me to do more for society, and I promised that I would not relent in my service to humanity and that I would continue to give back to society," she said.
Other awardees included Otunba Dr Olamide Babatunde (Cardinal) and Engineer Khadijat Akeusola (MAF K).
